Buying Pool Equipment Online: What It Can Do to Your Warranty

Homeowners 2026-08-28

Online deals can look great, but warranty terms often change with where you buy. Terms differ by brand and change over time, so check before you order.

At the time of writing, Pentair lists a one-year parts-only warranty for internet purchases, Hayward limits coverage to products bought from authorized sellers, and Jandy generally excludes products bought through e-commerce platforms, with limited exceptions.

Before you buy, ask your pool professional what they can supply and what coverage comes with it. Professional installation can also be a requirement for the full warranty on many products.
